The medical team is made up of people from different medical professional fields as already explained above. They respond to different medical needs within the limits of their practice. Generally, the medical team help with the following:
► Education and Counselling: Knowledge deficit is the is the worst diagnosis one can have because what one does not know, he or she cannot take care of. Lack of knowledge is not healthy. Remember Hosea 4:6. Thus, our medical team educates the community on how to prevent, identify and manage certain health issues or diseases.
► Medication: Free medications are prescribed and distributed by our medical team to the people to manage their health issues. For instance, in many African communities, malaria is an issue and many cannot afford anti-malaria medication. We distribute such medication and also provide mosquito nets to help prevent malaria through our medical team.
► Screening: Our medical team also do medical screenings such as blood pressure checks, blood glucose checks, and other health screening to help identify and treat or refer as needed.
► Referrals: People with special medical needs are referred to hospitals and special health centers where they can be properly treated.
After seeing the medical team, they are offered the option of been prayed for by the prayer team.
